Research Interests

My research interests are in the areas of fundamental combustion. The goal is to gain a better understanding of premixed and diffusion flame structure; stretched flame extinction; flame stabilization; burning velocities, flames instabilities, cellular formation, pressure rise in a constant volume combustion chamber; effects of electric fields on combustion; edge-flame propagation; combustion diagnostics which include laser techniques such as OH-PLIF, PIV; and alternative fuels.
