My current research is about the electric effects on the flame applied high voltage to the specific device such as nozzle.
Recent studies showed that the ionic wind blows from a flame to both an anode and a cathode, and applied electric fields have significant effects to a flame due to ionic wind. In order to further understand the previous observation, edge-flame propagation speed, flame curvature, and local field intensity will be delivered both experimental and numerical method.
