Research Interests

I use the nanosecond discharges in (dielectric) liquids for further understanding of the physical phenomena that taking place during the breakdown of such media. Several phenomena occur at different time scale (pre-breakdown: from ps to ns, breakdown: from ns to µs, streamer propagation: µs, and streamer-bubble transition: from µs to ms) and space scale (streamer ignition: nm, streamer propagation: from µm to mm, streamer surface interaction: µm) which make their characterization a real challenge. Other than the fundamental aspects, I also develop applications for these (new) plasmas especially for nanomaterial synthesis and for fuels reforming.
